Anything Goes @ Party Time Tuesdays

This week's challenge at Party Time Tuesdays is Anything Goes! I need a birthday card for a friend so I used this cute mouse and cheese stamp by Hambo Stamps to make this card...

I wanted the background to look like Swiss cheese, so I punched the card stock with different size hole punches. Then I sponged around the holes to give it some depth. The image, Say Cheese, is colored with Copics. I just love the sentiment, Cheese, Louise. I used another Hambo sentiment, Another Birthday? inside. It says "Another birthday? Didn't you just have one last year?"

I hope you'll join us over at PTT and share with us your Anything Goes creations.

Going Round @ the Hoedown

The Hoedown challenge this week is to use a Hambo digi image or stamp to make a circle shaped card that has spirals or swirls somewhere on it. I used Penguins and Have an Ice Day to make a telescoping circle card. Here it is closed...

and here it is opened...

Can you find where I used swirls? The snow is dry embossed with swirls and there's a swirl brad on the front. It was a fun card to make and perfect for the cold weather we've been having here in Maryland.

Matching Card & Envelop

The Party Time Tuesdays challenge this week is to decorate an envelop or make a card and decorate a matching envelop. I used the Border of Blooms by this week's sponsor, Floppy Latte Digital Designs, to make a card & matching envelop. Here's the front of the envelop with the matching card...

Here's the back of the envelop with the  matching card...

I cased the layout for my card from Andrea Wolford of The Paper Craft Library. I like the image and sentiment on a slant and the clean and simple look of the white on white. The image is colored with Copics - RV22, 24, 25 and G21 & 24. To make the medallion to seal the envelop, I colored and cutout one of the flowers from the image and glued it to a gold sticker that I found in my stash.

Join the PTT challenge and show us what you can do with an envelop.

Name that Toon!

Welcome to "Name That Toon!" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you a dozen fun creations that depict comic strips! It might be our favorite, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Kecia you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose comic strip-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, January 23, as well as at the Hambo Hoedown challenge blog. We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, January 26 at 5 PM CST. Don't miss it!

My creation is TOP SECRET!

It's CONFIDENTIAL!

It was inspired by the comic strip DICK TRACY...the crimefighter in the yellow trenchcoat.

I remember the comic strip as using bright primary colors so that gave me my color scheme and Hambo's Spy digi image gave me the TOP SECRET theme. I had so much fun creating my CONFIDENTIAL creation for Hambo's blog hop. Hope you enjoyed it.
Now laugh on over to Judy for another great Comic Strip that will tickle your fancy!

King of Cool

This week's Party Time Tuesdays' challenge is a color challenge. Here's the color scheme...

and here's my card...

I just got some new Art Impressions stamps & I couldn't wait to ink them up. This is Melvin. He's quite the nerdy guy, but thinks he's "The King of Cool". I love how my card turned out. It's the perfect card to give it my hubby to send to someone.
Come on over to Party Time Tuesdays and join in the challenge. Show us what you can do with  these colors.

Soda Pop Pigs

This week's Hambo Hoedown Challenge was to use any Hambo digi or rubber stamp and create a project that uses felt. I used Hambo's Soda Shop Pigs and Happy Hamiversary  and felt hearts to make my card...

I love special fold cards . Last year my friend Jane sent me an easel card that was a little different than what I had seen before. I call it a side easel card. To make it, you score and fold the front from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. Then attach the front panel to the lower part of the front. I cut felt scalloped hearts with my Nestibilities. The larger heart is popped up to hold up the front.
I love Hambo's challenges. I'm glad I had a chance to play this week. Come back on Friday and see what I made for Hambo's Blog Hop "Name That 'Toon".

Sparkle! Sparkle!

Party Time Tuesday's challenge this week is to create a project that sparkles, shimmers and/or shines. I reached for my glitter mat pack of paper and created this sparkly birthday card.

IRL this card is very sparkly. The DSP has glitter on it and the silver flower shape is punched from silver glitter cardstock. Even the ribbon has a irredescent shine to it. I stamped the Happy Birthday image in red and added a red bow for a pop of color.

Hop on over to PTT challenge and join us. Show us your sparkle, shimmer & shine.
